TRAUMA FOUNDATION PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

You have been referred to participate in a pilot initiative of The Trauma Foundation focused on providing comprehensive trauma treatment. While the primary focus is to make sure you will receive the highest quality care possible, we will also be collecting information about your experience to better understand the benefits of receiving this treatment. The knowledge gained from this pilot will hopefully help medical professionals, trauma therapists and institutions such as schools, hospitals and health systems understand the best ways to treat trauma and help people who’ve suffered from trauma.

Over the course of the treatment we expect to help alleviate some of the symptoms you may be experiencing as the result of past trauma like Anxiety, Depression, PTSD as well as some physical symptoms like Migraines, Digestive Disorders and Chronic Pain.

We will match you with an advanced trained Trauma Therapist who will support you in your healing journey.  To better understand our approach to trauma healing, please watch this video:

Vicki RobinsonVicki Robinson: I come from a long bodywork tradition that began 40 years ago with massage. My goal is to help people heal from ongoing effects of trauma. It’s so challenging to have our optimal lives when our bodies are chronically sending messages that our lives our threatened. Early trauma keeps us ‘looping back’ to patterns that were once useful, we learned to react by running or fleeing, or possibly checking out of our bodies so we wouldn’t feel the pain. Maintaining this level of non-stop vigilance in the body can be exhausting, and it can keep us from having our best life. I use both touch and language to help my clients stay in the channel of the body instead of only processing thoughts and opinions. Slowly we can begin to rebuild a safety map that can allow us to be more in the present moment, connecting with people and sensing that the world is a safer place. I am a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and have completed training in Touch Skills for Trauma Therapists and Somatic Resilience and Regulation with Kathy Kain and Steve Terrell.  http://vickiannrobinson.com/

Available Time slots: Tuesday at 9am and Thursday a 12:30pm and 1:30pm

Hope MaltzHope Maltz: I support people with a whole-body, whole-self approach to repairing traumatic ruptures and moving forward into fulfilling their potential and their purpose in life. I help people find relief from the isolation, fear, and overwhelm of trauma, whatever the source, whatever keeps them from living the life they yearn to live. A somatically-based practitioner, my clients and I work together at the level of the body to build, through positive experiences, a coherent container big enough and strong enough to hold, contain, sustain, and support one’s life experience. I help clients build a relationship of trust with their body, integrate their experiences, and find their just right pace for moving through the world.  I have extensive training in facilitating Generative Change, hold a certificate in Somatic Experiencing® (SE) along with extensive post-SE training to support people renegotiating early and developmental trauma.  https://movingintocomfort.com/
